Class Assembly Music

Dear Parents and Carers,

The children have been given their scripts for our class assembly, being held next Friday (18.01.18) in the KS2 hall. You are welcome to attend. The children are encouraged to learn their lines this weekend so we can have some fantastic rehearsals next week.

Our final musical number will be Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror” – the children are also encouraged to practise singing this song. I will post the lyrics below. We probably won’t sing all of the song – I’ve included the first two verses and the chorus. I look forward to seeing lots of you next Friday!

Best wishes,
Mr McClellan

First day back and dates for your diary

    Dear parents and carers,

First I would like to wish each of you a very happy new year. I am very excited for the term ahead and am pleased to report that our first day back in class was a really positive start for 5BM. We set out some new school procedures to do with behaviour and had an excellent discussion about our expectations of one another in the classroom for the weeks ahead.

Next week we have two important dates:

    • 14.01.19 – Visit to the Connected Learning Centre in Clapham: 5BM will undertake a music composition workshop at the London CLC next Monday. We would like two parents to join us, so if you are free on Monday morning and would like to help out please indicate this on your child’s permission slip. The children need to bring a waterproof jacket and a packed lunch. If your child does not normally pay for school lunches, one will be provided by the school. We will leave at 9.00am and return to school by 1.30pm.
    • 18.01.19 – Class Assembly at Rosendale Primary School: 5BM’s class assembly will be held next Friday at 9.30am in the KS2 hall. Parents and carers are very welcome to attend.

    Best wishes,
    Mr McClellan
